The Riverguard are not true Neriticans, but amphibious tribes dwelling near inland waters who long ago allied with the Trident Realm for mutual benefit. These rangy, frog-like beings bear more resemblance to the beastmen of the Herd than to the fishmen of the seas.

They fight in small skirmishing groups known as “clutches,” striking swiftly before vanishing back into cover. Armed with javelins, Riverguard warriors harass foes at range before disengaging, while Treeleaper clutches favour brutal close combat, wielding heavy two-handed tridents as they leap onto enemy warriors for devastating strikes.
