First seeing combat in Normandy, the Cromwell cruiser tank quickly proved its worth with its powerful 75mm gun and impressive cross-country speed. While it couldn’t quite match the heavier German "Big Cats," it was more than capable of dealing with Panzer IVs and played a crucial role in the British and Allied armoured advances through Western Europe.

The Cromwell was fielded by the famous 7th Armoured Division, as well as the armoured reconnaissance regiments of the Guards and 11th Armoured Divisions. Even the 6th Airborne Armoured Recce Regiment managed to deploy a small number of Cromwells during the Normandy campaign and retained them through the Battle of the Bulge.

This plastic kit includes one Cromwell tank with a full-colour waterslide decal sheet offering markings for British, Canadian, and Polish units, an assembly guide, Bolt Action stat cards, and damage markers.

In Bolt Action, the Cromwell is a medium tank armed with a medium anti-tank gun, and benefits from the Improved HE and Fast special rules. It is eligible for use in armoured platoons and can also be fielded in Achtung Panzer!, the game of close-quarters tank duels.
