Supplied to Britain under the Lend-Lease programme, the M4A4 medium tank was redesignated the Sherman V and quickly became the most widely used tank in British and Polish armoured units in the later stages of WWII. It also saw service with the Free French forces. Renowned for its reliability, rugged construction, and ease of maintenance, the Sherman V made up for its relatively tall profile with sheer performance and battlefield utility.

Armed with a 75mm gun, the Sherman V was well-suited to infantry support roles and could effectively suppress enemy positions. Though outgunned by heavier German tanks in head-to-head duels, its tactical flexibility and overwhelming numbers kept it highly effective throughout the war.

In Bolt Action, the Sherman V is a medium tank armed with a medium anti-tank gun featuring the Improved HE special rule. It also includes a coaxial MMG, a hull-mounted MMG, and the option to add a pintle-mounted HMG. This tank can be fielded in Armoured Platoons and is also fully compatible with Achtung Panzer! rules.
