Albrecht von Zögling is the Axis’ custodian of the Totenkorps programme and a long-standing member of the Grünes Gewölbe in Konflikt '47. His obsession with death led him to spend years studying forbidden texts from the Green Vault’s library, while visiting battlefields and massacre sites to collect corpses for experimentation. These grim pursuits earned him the whispered nickname “Der Erntemann” — The Harvestman.

On 12 March 1944, when the bomb was dropped on Dresden, von Zögling’s ambitions were fully realized. Hundreds of thousands of dead now wandered the ruined city, while a seemingly endless supply of Rift energy became available for his experiments.

Harnessing the secrets of the Rift, von Zögling perfected a serum capable of reanimating the dead on an unprecedented scale. Unlike earlier crude power packs, this serum can be injected directly into a corpse, bringing it back to unlife within seconds. This breakthrough allowed the rapid expansion of the terrifying Totenkorps forces.

Unlike many scientists, von Zögling actively stalks battlefields in search of new subjects. Fascinated by wounds and the fragility of human anatomy, he has trained himself to become a skilled marksman and capable fighter. When the opportunity arises, he personally leads his Totenrotte, equipped with a customized battle harness loaded with medical equipment and serum supplies, allowing him to reinforce his Totenkorps legions in the heat of battle.
